Middle Maryland

Maryland has many things to offer progressive minded individuals. Many Natural Markets are around where one can purchase organic produce, farmer's markets Spring through Fall, Asian markets. There are many large all organic markets, many asian markets that have things like young coconut and durian, year-round and occasionally jackfruit. Maryland does not have cheap housing prices in most areas but has an abundance of employment possibilities. This area is sometimes called East Coast Silicon Valley or East Coast Hollywood. Baltimore, MD is one of the top cities for arts, music and culture with a huge film production community. Many of the nations top colleges are nearby too. Because Washington D.C. is so close Government jobs and consulting opportunities are abundant. It is also a fertile ground for entreprenuers.

Nature is always nearby. There are many parks all over with offer endless hiking, mountain biking, disc golf, mega-playgounds. Columbia, MD is a planned City born in 1965. It has 5 lakes with 200 miles of paved bike trails linking all the neighborhoods. Maryland is also in the process of tying 4 separate large parks together via paved trails called the Greenway. This will link historic Ellicott City to the BWI trails. Columbia's trails are practically connected to these other areas. There are endless possibilities for outdoor activities. We also have numerous Yoga centers, apothecary's, a few ND's in the major healthcare plans.
